Picked this up on sale after eyeing it for a little while. I like the higher swing weight compared to other paddles I have. Well made, good spin, solid paddle.
As a 4.0+ player, I see everyone trying to hit the ball harder and the control game going away. Maybe this Pulse paddle is purple because it's different? Why do we warm up dinking and then that seems to be the last of the short game...?!?! This is a control first paddle in a power paddle dominated world. 5 stars for helping improve my control game. The kevlar weave adds plenty of additional spin to the ball, so super happy with that. It doesn't lack pop and I honestly don't help with more power. Helps my hand speed and placement at the net. So much satisfaction with my drop/cut volleys. I can beat bangers all day long with this control paddle.
My first Apes was used, bought from a friend. I bought a second planning to keep the original at our vacation home. It fits my spin, control and power game perfectly. The Apes has become my primary paddle.
