I received my paddle yesterday and put it through 2.5 hours of nonstop games tonight. I went in with high expectations, and somehow this paddle exceeded them.
I own more than 35 paddles and fully admit I’m a paddle nerd, so I don’t say this lightly: this instantly became my #1 paddle and new main.
Why? The combination of specs and performance is outstanding: low swing weight (107–108), low static weight (7.9 oz with an overgrip), high twist weight (7), and a huge, forgiving sweet spot. It delivers plenty of controllable power while still being incredibly composed in the soft game—dinks, drops, resets, and touch shots all felt natural and predictable.
Fast hand battles at the net are one of the strongest parts of my game, and this paddle absolutely shines there. It’s quick through the air, extremely stable for its weight, and gives me the combination of speed and control I’m looking for.
I’m genuinely not sure how you managed to build a paddle with this particular blend of low swing weight, stability, power, forgiveness, and soft-game control, but I’m glad you did.
The grit also feels excellent. After 2.5 hours of hard play, I saw zero ball dust, and the surface still feels extremely aggressive.
When you describe this paddle as “power with a soft touch,” that’s exactly what it delivers.
And for anyone wondering: this is 100% a real review from someone who owns and plays with a lot of paddles. No hype.
This is an S-tier paddle.
I dont usually write reviews on paddles but this one is special. This paddle feels better than anything ive tried and ive been playing 4 years pretty consistently. Deep thonky bass sound with buttery feel and dwell. The perfect amount of power and pop. Top tier spin and the most impressive stat is the swing weight/twist weight ratios which i'd put this in 1st place for the category. Hybrid paddle of the year for me- no contest. If this tech can be implemented into an elongated paddle, it would break the market. Amazing price. After playing with this, i'd pay $250 for it. It's that good.
I’m a 3.8 DUPR player and tried out my zen today. Had been playing with gen3 10mm honeycomb paddle and also tried a gen4 paddle named after a mythological creature.
Never compare to the power/pop output of the zen! My friends were unable to return my volleys and overheads. Straight put away power!
As for resets - yes poppier but once you dial it in, it was easier than ever!

Love everything about the Zen. The paddle is lightning fast in the hands but still super stable.
The power I can generate when needed is extremely enjoyable as well.
I have had the opportunity to preview the Zen over the past week and can say enthusiastically it is my favorite Gen 4 paddle by far. I am a 4.0 and partner in a club, and have played with virtually every recognizable paddle out there from Boomstick to 11Six24 Power series, but always gone back to my RPM V2 Friction Pro. But the Zen has replaced it as my main. It feels fabulous, unlike any other Gen 4. Plush with lots of dwell. Plenty of power and pop on demand, but not springy like many of the current crop of "power paddles." I'd liken it to a Coral Pro on steroids. The twistweight is suprisingly high, swing and static weight low. I was able to add 3g at 6 and 9 and it still plays fast. I love the 5.75" handle length. It plays almost like an elongated with a huge sweet spot. And it looks cool. Great job Ivan and team.
