Beautiful and special feel my wife loved it!
For the past year, I mained the Pulse V, then the Harmony V, and now the Charm V. I only have a few hours with the Charm, but so far I'm loving it. The Charm has the stability and large sweet spot like the Pulse and Harmony, but adds in another level of pop and power. I need a little bit more time to adjust to the extra power, but power is exactly what I need to add to my game. It's not crazy power, but it's definitely more than the Harmony. I love the color as well . . . looks even better in person than on the website.
Pickleball Apes just has a way of taking the latest technologies and packaging everything together in a way that works better than other paddles. The Charm is an absolute winner and I expect to see a lot more of them at the local courts over the next few months.
If you're a fan of the Harmony but wish it had a bit more plow through, then the Charm is the paddle for you! It has slightly more pop on your drops, but other than that, requires little adjustment from one to the other. I suppose you lose a small amount of hand speed if you play with a stock Harmony.
Since the sweet spot is a bit narrower than the Harmony, I feel tempted to add weight, but at 8. 3 oz, I am leaving it where it is for now. After 9 games, I rarely got negative feedback or felt dead spots. I'm happy with this paddle, as playing 4. 0+, you'll need the Charm's stability and power these days.
